Oh what a day!

Retired, I have no schedule, so I don’t need alarms or work to get a workout in. Despite feeling tired this morning, I went to the club. I watched the Alabama vs. LSU softball SEC tournament gamewhich was fast-paced. I started watching at the 2.5-inning mark and stopped when the game ended or after 60 minutes, whichever came first.

I completed a 60-minute elliptical workout, covering 6.3 miles, after watching the game for 14 innings and almost three hours. I lifted weights for 45 minutes, made lunch, and finished watching the last 45 minutes of the game. LSU’s pitcher, Sydney Berzonhad the same pitcher for the entire game, allowing only two runs in the first inning and a shutout for the next 13 innings.

After the game, I decided to go for a bike ride on a beautiful day. I rode 20 miles but felt tired near the end. As it was nice, I made dinner and ate outside. While eating, I realized the compost pickup was tomorrow and the lawn needed mowing. However, Auburn and Georgia were tied 2-2 at the start of the sixth inning, and daylight was diminishing. So, I mowed the lawn.

After mixing the lawn, I was surprised that Auburn and Georgia were still tied in the 11th inning. They still had another game to play at 7:00 PM, but it was 8:15 PM, and they were behind schedule. I watched and watched, and over an hour later, Auburn went up 5-2 at the top of the 14th inning. I thought it was over, but two errors and two home runs later, Georgia had the walk-off win 6-5!

The three physical activities today, along with the two marathon 14-inning softball games, left me very tired.
